Eight Weeks Out
This was the last entry in my diary about my knee. It has been an interesting time especially comparing the two different approaches. After you read it, I will give you my thoughts on knee operations. Wednesday 10/29/25 - I went to watercise at the YMCA today for the first time in 8 weeks since I had my knee replaced. Recovery Progress and Setbacks: September 18–21, 2025
Thursday, September 18, 2025 - I continue to rely on my cane for long distances, though I’m able to navigate around the house without it. Driving is manageable, but exiting the driver’s seat remains a challenge—my knee doesn’t bend easily, so I have to push my seat all the way back and slowly maneuver my leg out. Knee Surgery Day 10 through 12
Wednesday, September 3, 2025 – I started back up on the Tramadol and have been sleeping thru the night till 4am. Then I have to get up to pee then back to sleep till 6:30am. Yesterday, at PT my trainer George asked me if I planned to take off from teaching while I am recovering from the knee operation.
