This is a membership Morsel from “Too Young to Retire”. Today, we are continuing to talk about one aspect of health and wellness.
Laughter. I found the following information from the https://Simplyhealth.today web site and it really hit the funny spot.
The National Cancer Institute published a study and found that people who laugh on a regular basis decrease hormones related to stress inside their bodies. In addition, laughter will increase the number of natural killer cells and activated T cells, which are two things that can truly help your body stay healthy and strong. If you are feeling sick or down, try watching a favorite comedy and having a good laugh. There is a good chance that it will make you feel a little bit better.
When you laugh your body releases endorphins that can help you feel better. While it may not be possible to truly laugh when you are in extreme amounts of pain, at least trying to smile and lighten the mood can go a long way in making you feel better
A good belly laugh is similiar to a mini workout. Laughing hard will boost your respiratory rate, heart rate, and increase your oxygen consumption.
The Cleveland Clinic found that laughing will immediately increase the blood flow to your heart. Laughter has the same effect as an aerobic exercise getting oxygen to your heart.
Humor and Mirth can help Relieve the stress response of the body and help to soothe any type of tension that you are holding inside. While it won’t solve your problems but it will help you handle the stress.
Do you have writers block or brain fog. The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Journal published an article in 2016 that found that simple laughter can put your brain back into a state where you are able to think more clearly. If you are struggling to focus or simply have a case of brain fog, pop in a favorite comedy or watch a funny video.
If you are stuck in a rut and want to boost your creativity, try laughing. A little bit of humor can help to loosen up your mind. When you are feeling relaxed and safe, your brain has more power to be more creative.
Other effects include lowering your blood pressure, help you deal with depression, improves good cholesterol, reduces inflammation in your system, and many more good effects! Practice laughing, find a reason to watch something funny, enjoy good company with friends and reap good health.
