"Our greatest fear should not be failure but of succeeding in things that don't really matter" - Francis Chan
As the new year starts I am pivoting my focus from retirement to Navigating Change. We are always experiencing change, and if you have a vision of where you want to end up, the changes you encounter will not detour you from what you want to be or where you want life to lead you.
Companies struggle with this issue in their markets and if they have a strong vision of what their purpose is they will prosper under any market conditions. Having guided a company as it struggled with markets that had dramatic changes over my 30 years in business, we were able continue to prosper and grow.
I have also struggled in this area in my personal life with having accomplished my own personal vision only to have to reexamine it after tragic family events and reinvent myself and my purpose.
Vision: To help people and companies prepare for future changes by envisioning where they are heading and what they want to accomplish.
My personal vision – Helping others follow their passion, by defining what is important to them and pursuing their vision.
Mission:
I will be a keynote speaker for conventions, and business meetings. Holding Classes in helping companies in how to understand and put their vision into words. Creating a mission statement and plan that will guide them and their employees in making decisions that will achieve this vision. I will help them test whether they need revising and explore how to craft ethical approaches to dealing with future changes in their operations and markets. Help them develop a new business plan that addresses these issues.
Publishing Schedule:
I will be publishing on each Tuesday and Friday and hope to have you joining me. On Friday we will have an exercise to explore where you have been before working on where you want to end up.
