This is a membership Morsel from “Too Young to Retire”. Today, we are continuing to
talk about Purpose. What is your attitude? Is it an attitude of scarcity or abundance?
If you believe in scarcity, you believe that there is only so much to go around. You will always be looking at a glass that is half full. You will probably hoard whatever you have and limit your giving.
However, if you believe in abundance, all you will see about you is unlimited opportunity and wealth. Granted a lot of it requires you to prepare yourself so when the opportunity come around you are ready for it. That could include education, physical training, and emotional fitness or emotional fortitude.
A lot also requires hard work. Putting yourself out there and helping other people when they need it. Associating with people who are optimistic and cheerful.
I once heard a story about a young man being told by an older gentlemen that he had to jump and seize an opportunity when it appeared. The young man looked at him and said How will I know when the opportunity appears. The older gentlemen said You won’t, you have to just keep jumping.
Abundance is a state of mind that must be cultivated and embraced. It is not that you will never have doubts, you will, or hardships, or a lot of other negative things possibly happen to you. You will recognize that there are good things around the corner if you persist in moving forward.
Life is meant to be actively lived and for you to participate in it every day. It is not meant to be spent sitting on a couch and twiddling your thumbs and saying woe is me if only I had a million dollars, I could do something. If you look hard enough, you will always find a way. As the Nike commercial says just do it.
Come and be a part of the 2 Young 2 Retire to learn strategies that will help you live your life to its fullest. There are so many things you will learn that you should never run out of options.
