Seasons

It's not just nature and trees and weather that live by the seasons.

Life is lived in seasons. Each season has a purpose and a focus that taken together with all our life seasons has made a unique contribution to our individual identity.

In Buffalo life also changes each season with the dramatic shift in each season having a unique purpose and focus. Winter you are huddled inside your warm house, waiting for the weather to break, or you have your new leggings and winter coat and are looking to enjoy the snow on the slopes.

In spring everything seems to come alive, and summer is a time to enjoy the good weather and sip on a cold drink. Fall is time to harvest from your garden and prepare for the coming winter.

Mother nature knows that the earth comes alive in the spring and reaches maturity and bears fruit during the summer and early fall. The seasons vary each year. Some are very wet and cold or others can be very dry and hot.

What do the seasons we experience each year have to teach us about life. The seasons themselves are never exactly the same. Our lives are like that. Your experiences in your childhood are not the same as your neighbors, cousins, parents or relatives.

It is the same with our middle years and as we age. You could say the first 20 years is spring, the next 40 years is summer, the next 40 years is your fall and winter is when you move onto your next life.

Are you making the most of your spring, summer and fall? Last, remember life is for living and enjoying, you can’t save it up for some other time because you don’t know what the future will bring.

I am here to help you explore how to make the most of your fall. If you think about these changes, you will find that you will really enjoy retirement.
