When the Weather Changes, Your Purpose Shouldn’t
There are many things in life you simply cannot control. The weather changes without asking your permission.
Storms roll in. Plans get canceled. Illness happens. Disappointments show up uninvited. People make decisions that affect you. Markets shift. Doors close.
Life has a way of interrupting the direction you thought you were heading.

And that is exactly why you must have a purpose.
Without purpose, every storm feels like the end of the road. Every setback feels permanent. Every detour feels like failure.
When you don’t know where you’re going, any obstacle can knock you completely off track. But when you have vision, when you know what you are called to build, who you want to become, and what you want to be remembered for, something changes.
The storm is no longer the story. It becomes just weather.
Purpose is your compass. It keeps you pointed north even when the road curves. Vision gives you resilience.
It reminds you that delays are not denials. A closed door may simply be redirection.
You cannot control the wind, but you can adjust your sails.
When you are clear about your destination, temporary setbacks lose their power. You begin to ask better questions: What can I learn here? How can I grow through this? Is this pushing me toward something greater?
Your purpose anchors you when emotions fluctuate. It steadies you when circumstances shake. It keeps you from drifting into a life of reaction instead of intention.
So decide. What do you want your life to stand for? What impact do you want to leave? What will people say about how you lived?
Because the weather will change.
But with purpose, you won’t.
